How Learners Will Collaborate Via Google Docs:
After participating in my Instructional Software lesson plan, students will understand many of the differences (and a few similarities) between King George and George Washington. They will be divided into groups of four with two students from the King George side of the debate and two students from the George Washington side of the debate in each group. Each group will have access to a shared Google Doc created by the teacher via Team Drive on their student Google accounts. Group members will utilize their notes from the read-aloud and their additional knowledge from the class debate to create a shared set of notes comparing and contrasting these two key figures from the American Revolution. They will revise the document and make additions and changes through the process as each group member adds their information, resulting in a clear set of notes that can be shared with the rest of the class and used as a study guide for upcoming American Revolution assessments. Each pair of group members will also create one quiz questions for the other pair to respond to based on the information in the table. This will serve as an additional study guide resource when students have to prepare for the summative assessment at the end of the American Revolution unit.
